In the fourth quarter of 2023, the performance of the top five carpooling and ridesharing apps in Nicaragua displayed distinct trends in weekly downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

inDrive. Save on city rides saw its weekly downloads fluctuate throughout the quarter. Starting with 6K downloads in late September, the app experienced significant growth, peaking at around 9.3K in mid-October. However, the downloads saw a dip towards the end of the year, settling at approximately 6.8K by the final week of December.

Picap also exhibited a dynamic trend in weekly downloads. From an initial 2.2K downloads in late September, the app experienced several peaks and troughs, ultimately reaching a high of about 4K downloads in the last week of December. This performance indicates a consistent interest and periodic spikes in user acquisition.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a relatively stable download rate throughout the quarter. Starting at approximately 683 downloads in late September, the app saw minor fluctuations but generally hovered around the 800 mark, ending the quarter with around 751 downloads.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides had a more modest performance in terms of downloads. The app started with 218 downloads in late September and experienced a few peaks, notably in mid-October and December, but generally remained below the 400 mark, closing the quarter with 342 downloads.

Finally, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver showed varied download numbers throughout the quarter. Beginning with 162 downloads in late September, the app's downloads peaked at 306 in late October but saw a decline towards the end of the year, ending with 206 downloads in the last week of December.
